Exciting Updates!

Noel Pádraig Duggan ClannadHallo! We’re adding the lyrics to the albums (as you can see in ‘Lore’ and ‘Landmarks’), and are working very closely to some of Ireland’s most well known song collectors to give us the background on the traditional songs. Check out ‘Tráthnóna Beag Aréir’ on ‘Lore’ for an example! :]

In the fans section we’ve added a cool new cinema and we’ve also added biographies for Moya and the Duggan brothers on the Biog page, including restored High Resolution images (we’re low on bandwidth, so please do not download them unless mandatory, we’re working on this, and they’re massive images). You can help us out by providing as much information as possible on Pól and Ciarán, it’d be greatly appreciated and of course credited!

Thanks so much :]

Sanctuary Album Update

Nóirín Ní Riain Sanctuary Moya BrennanAs y’all know, Moya will be on the new Sanctuary album. RTÉ recorded a documentary on Nóirín Ní Riain who was married to Mícheal Ó Súilleabháin. This documentary has lots of info about the album, including a few clips, which you can hear on RTÉ’s website. Just search for Nóirín Uí Riain. If you cannot watch the programme, simply email us at hello@clannad.org.uk and he will mail you (with prior permission from RTÉ), the documentary. Please note that this documentary was broadcast quite a while ago as we previously sent out to our mailing list, and we’d be more than happy to broadcast it for a few days through our website if we receive permission (if you would like us to). Hope you enjoy =)
