The Horse is god of winter Boreas (North Wind).
Boreas and his brother winds were often imagined as horse-shaped gods. An old Greek folk belief was that the winds Boreas and Zephyros would sweep down upon the mares in early spring and fertilize them in the shape of wind-formed stallions. The horses born from these couplings were the swiftest and finest of their kind. The fabulous horses of King Laomedon of Troy were said to have been sired in this way by Boreas upon the Trojan mares.

I still don't get the concept of the cover, what's witht he horse? It all looks so kitsch. Besides that, I do hope Enya wins ofcourse!

All the Grammy nominations are not out yet. I am sure And Winter Came will be nominated in the New age category. I am sure Enya will recieve her 5th Grammy, well deserved.

Be Thou My Vision is absolutely gorgeous, by far one of my favourite Moya songs [=

I love 'My! My! Time Flies!'. Even though she has not been nominated musically for the album, she should have at least got 'Best Single' or something xD I'm not even sure that category exists though...

I met Moya myself a few months ago . I first heard of her by her song Be Thou My Vision and it grabbed me and since then I have always been a Moya fan. It is Enya that is up for the award for album cover, so I must appreciate it for it's own beauty, but Moya is in my heart.

I am a Moya fan, and you are right, she deserves to be rewarded. She is phenominal. She will when the time is right because she is persistent and she dabbles in all fields of music. She will :)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and "ART" comes in many forms and should always be appreciated. Look at the bright side, if she can sit in her castle and produce this beautiful "ART" appreciate the beauty and the spirit in which it is given to us to enlighten us. Winter is cold and the red "blood' suggests warmth, as our world is cold, music gives us warmth of spirit.
I can not say it will win or not, but it is appreciated deeply.

Oh wow thanks for the news Robbi! Yes she deserves to win a 'different' award this time. After all that cover is really beautiful and stands out from the rest of the releases in 2008. I wish she could have won more because of the hard work the trio do on each albums.
