The 7^th artist in te Northern Skyline showcase of amazing musicians are the wonderful Dyad, set to hit Britain, Ireland and Scotland over the coming five weeks. For those of you into old-time music like myself, and the strong songs of the American Appalachian Mountains, this Canadian band are a must hear. I heard Dyad a month ago on the Open House Festival’s website, one of Ireland’s best roots and Irish traditional festivals which previously featured Hazel O’Connor. Take a listen to some free tracks on their website, like the stunning old-time traditional song ‘Little Birdie’, or the bold ‘Red Rocking Chair’ which carry on their themes relevantly to the present day. Dyad feature Leah Abramson (also a member of the Crooked Jades), Mark Beaty (of the Be Good Tanyas) and the stunning Kori Miyanishi.
