The next artists on our artist showcase: ex-Moya band piper Tiarnán Ó Duinchinn and his wife, singer Stéphanie Makem. Tiarnán Ó Duinchinn is a celebrity in the north of Ireland’ music scene, and toured with Moya and recorded with her before parting just after working with Moya on her ‘Two Horizons’ album. Makem is one of Ireland’s up-and-coming folk singers. Their début album together ‘Ceol is Píob’ (Song and Pipe) is one of this years top traditional albums. Stéphanie’s voice is unique, sweet, one of a kind. The album featured songs such as ‘Airdí Cuain’ and Clannad favourite ‘Crúiscín Lán’ – a version titled ‘Líontar Dúinn an Crúiscín’.
